Parish Away Day

A warm invitation to everyone in the Parish of Lyndhurst and Emery Down and Minstead to be involved in the process leading to the appointment of a new Rector (ie Vicar). (We attach our invitation and a brief outline of the timescale involved for recruitment.)

We have arranged a ‘Parish Away Day’ to be held on the 28th February at St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Lyndhurst, from 10 am to 3 pm, for everyone who would like to come.  The Reverend Simon Newham, Area Dean and Interim Archdeacon has agreed kindly to lead the day.  This will be a time for us to reflect, get to know each other a bit better, have some fun and really think and pray what is God calling us to do next?  What are the priorities we should focus on?  This will help us to start the community engagement we need to do and begin writing our Parish Profile as we move towards the selection of our new Rector.

We appreciate not everyone will be available on the 28th February so we will make sure to involve anyone unable to attend as well.  We want to ensure all who wish to be involved are.  Posters and flyers will be in each church along with a sheet to sign if you are able to come.  Any queries / questions please do contact us.
